At our office we see many patients come in that have a varying amount of issues with their sleep. Depending on where you are in your sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment we can help.
For the patient that is having the symptoms of sleep apnea we will help them with a questionnaire to determine if a home sleep study is the next step. We do have patients that do not have sleep apnea, but are just heavy snorers. We have a snoring appliance that we can fit them so their nights (and that of their partners) can be quieter.
If we do determine at the end of your sleep study that you indeed have obstructive sleep apnea we can help fit you with an oral appliance. This is a great alternative to a cumbersome and loud CPAP machine or the thought of having surgery. This appliance positions your jaw in a way where your breathing airway is not obstructed. This appliance is like a mouth guard (mandibular advancement
device) that when worn can lessen the effects of sleep apnea and snoring.
We will custom fit your appliance so it is comfortable and easy to wear. Not only will this improve your sleep apnea, but you will feel better and your body will be healthier.
