Sleep Apnea is most common in adults 40-60 years of age. Many agree that as you get older men and women typically start gaining weight. Women go through menopause and males start losing their libido. The neck and throat muscles can begin to lose their elasticity and muscle so the airway in the throat will lessen.
Many adults start having physical problems after 40 including high blood pressure and diabetes. These are factors that increase the chances for sleep apnea or make it worse if you already suffer from it.
